Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Haleem Adil Sheikh has been remanded into police custody for two days.
The Sindh Assembly opposition leader and three other men, identified as Ghulam Mustafa, Abdul Haseeb, and Mehmood Dawar, were presented in an anti-terrorism court in Karachi Wednesday morning.
The police had initially requested the court for a 30-day remand.

Protests over the Machh massacre were held at six spots in Karachi Wednesday morning, resulting in traffic jams across the city.
Ten labourers from the Hazara community were killed and three injured at a coal mine in Balochistanâs Machh on Sunday. According to the Levies force, the incident took place late Saturday night near Bolan. Bolan Deputy Commissioner Murad Kasi confirmed that the labourers all lived in Hazara Town.

Zain Effendi, the great-great-grandchild of Sindh Madressatul Islam University founder Hassanally Effendi, was killed during a robbery attempt at his home in Karachi Wednesday morning. He was in his 40s.
The police said that five men entered his house near Quaid s Mausoleum and held the domestic help and Effendi hostage. They tied them up and robbed the house. The suspects broke the lock outside Effendi s room and shot him after he resisted the robbery.
