IGP Rehman was visiting Shalimar and Karachi Company police station along with DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmad Kausar, SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer and Additional SP Farhat Abbas Kazmi to review the water situation, sanitation and hygiene in the residential barracks of the police stations.
During his visit, IGP reviewed residential facilities for Eagle Squad personnel at the Shalimar police station.
He ordered construction of separate parking shed for the Eagle Squad motor bikes.

Criminal involved in firing at police team arrested

Islamabad : The police, in a big breakthrough, have nabbed three members gang involved in armed dacoity in house in Sector G-11 the previous days. The gangsters opened firing on the police party when the police reached the scene during the robbery and injured two cops of raiding party. Two robbers were arrested during the robbery while one managed to escape from the scene that has arrested on Friday.
The gangsters were hailing from Narowal, Daska and had looted millions of rupee in cash and in form of gold ornaments and other valuables in nine hits in different sectors of the federal capital.

Karachi Administrator Laeeq Ahmed said on Thursday that all possible steps were being taken to provide better medical facilities to citizens. Arrangements are being made to ensure that necessary and sensitive areas have the services of expert and experienced staff, said Ahmed as the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and the Karachi Institute of Kidney Diseases Association signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday. Support of the private sector is sought to ensure the constant availability of modern equipment and machinery in hospitals, he said.
