LAHORE: Schedules for trains were severely disrupted after heavy fog affected multiple cities and towns across the country. Railway administration has yet to reschedule trains as several trains from Karachi and Quetta to Lahore were delayed. According to the railway inquiry, Khyber Mail Express from Karachi delayed 1 hour 20 minutes, Green Line Express delayed 2 hours 40 minutes, Tezgam Express delayed 2 hours, Allama Iqbal Express delayed 3 hours 20 minutes, Awam Express delayed 3 hours 45 minutes, Karachi Express delayed 3 hours 10 minutes, Farid Express delayed 2 hours, Jaffar Express delayed 3 hours 30 minutes, Karakoram Express delayed 2 hours 50 minutes Pakistan Express delayed for 7 hours 30 minutes.

Foggy weather on Friday continued disrupting Pakistan Railways trains’ schedule badly, leaving a number of passengers waiting for hours at Lahore and other major stations across the country.
The situation is worsening gradually, as arrival and departure of major express trains running between Lahore-Karachi and other sections continue delaying for hours.
According to railways administration, the departure of Karakoram from Lahore was cancelled due to harsh weather. “Other trains running late including Pak Business Express, Shah Hussain Express and Karachi Express,” the administration said in a handout.

LAHORE: With dense fog continuing to blanket most plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh on Saturday, the Met Office forecast rain in upper and central Punjab, Islamabad and Kashmir and snowfall in Murree, Nathia Gali, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday (today).
On the other hand, the chilly weather coupled with dense fog starting around 6pm in the last couple of days has badly disrupted routine life, especially for those travelling within or outside the cities.

Sources said that Millat Express, which was running from Karachi, was delayed by six hours, while Pakistan Express was three hours and 30 minutes behind its schedule. The Karakoram Express and Business Express were delayed by two hours, respectively.
