Pensioners Facilitation: Centre, Complaint Redressal Cell inaugurated

July 16, 2021 PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Thursday inaugurated the upgraded Pensioners Facilitation Centre and Information & Complaint Redressal Cell at the office of the KP Accountant General. Special Assistant to CM Kamran Bangash, Controller, General Accounts, Farrukh Ahmad Hamidi, Accountant General Murtaza Khan, Information Secretary Arshad Khan and other officials attended the ceremony, said a handout. Mahmood Khan said reforms were underway in the tax regime of the province, which had resulted in a significant increase in the annual revenue collection of the KP government. He stated when his government came into power, the annual revenue collection in KP was Rs 31 billion which had now increased to Rs56 billion. The chief minister added that despite the difficult financial situation due to COVID-19, the KP government made no increase in the provincial taxes, rather it provided significant relief to people in the various provincial taxes.

The explosion has resulted in the death of at least 9 Chinese nationals and two Pakistani soldiers who were reportedly present on the bus. According to news agency AP, Asim Abbasi, an assistant commissioner in Kohistan, said authorities believe the incident was an accident but were probing whether there was some type of explosion in the bus.
