February saw criminals jailed for an array of offences in south east London, ranging from harrasment to fraud. A court heard how a New Cross woman s lengthy stalking campaign culminated in her sending a pig s head to her ex-boyfriend s workplace. Elsewhere, an organised Orpington crime group who ran a Deliveroo style cocaine delivery service in Kent were collectively jailed for over 25 years. Tia McBean sent her ex-boyfriend a pig’s head in a “horrible and gratuitous act of spite” during a prolonged stalking campaign. The 33-year-old, from New Cross, also bombarded Oralton Robinson and his long-term partner with phone calls and ordered pizzas to their home.

Sex offenders jailed across south east and south west London in 2020. It was not the best year for most, but 2020 saw a large number of suspects brought to justice for horrific crimes, among those some of worst sex offenders in the country. Whilst everyday life was badly affected by the pandemic, the courts were busy sentencing a variety of offenders to jail time, with the News Shopper reporting on their cases. Dozens were put behind bars, but perhaps the worst to be sentenced are the sex offenders, paedophiles and rapists. Their stories are not pleasant, but thanks to the excellent work of London police forces, those responsible for these crimes are now behind bars.
