A Monmouth County Grand Jury handed up an eleven-count Indictment charging Brandon Pascoe, 36, of Keyport and Craig Reeves, 31, of Long Branch with conspiracy to distribute child sexual exploitation material, distribution of child sexual exploitation material and other related charges, Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni announced on Tuesday.
Both men were charged following an investigation that began in 2018 being handled by the Department of Corrections, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, the Keansburg Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office which learned that Pascoe allegedly directed Reeves to send him images of child sexual exploitation through an email system.

Driver charged with DWI in crash that killed high school senior

Daniel A. Diaz, 18, of Vineland, was riding a bike westbound on West Park Drive near North Third Street in Vineland around 8:30 p.m. on April 29 when he was struck from behind by an SUV driven by Phillip J. Cox, 54, according to a crash investigation report.
Both vehicles were traveling in the same lane of traffic and Diaz was thrown from his bike by the impact and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Cox was given a sobriety test at the scene, found to be intoxicated and arrested. At the police station, he provided breath samples and his blood alcohol content was measured at 0.12%, according to police, which exceeded the legal limit of 0.08%.

VINELAND – The driver involved in a collision that claimed the life of a Vineland High School senior was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to Vineland police.
Daniel Diaz, killed last week while cycling along Park Avenue, is remembered as a “gentle giant” by his mom, according to the GoFundMe campaign to support his parents, Aixa and Angel Soto. The page recounts how Diaz enjoyed music, art and attending church with his family.
He was set to celebrate his 19th birthday on May 24 and then his Vineland High School graduation.
“Daniel was a hard-working and kind young man,” VHS Principal Suzette DeMarchi said. “He will be deeply missed by everyone.”
