That is what has befallen beleaguered former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko after the State went against Court orders of detaining him at Gigiri police cells and instead sent him to the dreaded Kamiti prison
See, Sonko is not new to the life of being a convict- he served time but got out after allegedly lying about his medical records
But he was a hardcore then who had not yet been inured to the flamboyant life his post -prison political life and dealings were able to accord him. It is definitely going to be a new experience for him

Ex Gov. Sonko to spend 5 more days in Kamiti, court rules
Former Nairobi Governor MIKE SONKO will spend spend five more nights in police cell after court set his bail ruling for next week.
Sonko, who is facing multiple assault charges, spent Wednesday night at the Kamiti Maximum GK Prison where he was whisked to late evening from the Gigiri Police Station where he was previously being held.
This came after an officer from the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) swore an affidavit accusing Sonko of having terror links, hence seeking 30 days to detain him pending investigations.
BREAKING NEWS: Gov. Sonko to be transferred to Mombasa tonight
There are plans to transfer former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko to Mombasa overnight to face pending cases there, we can report.
Our source told us the order was issued and unless the plans are changed, the former governor should be in Mombasa by tomorrow morning.
The former governor was detained at the Kamiti maximum security prisons after DCI detectives sought to hold him as they investigate his links to what they termed as a terror network.
The main purpose of taking him to Mombasa is for him to face his pending cases there.
