Despite decrease in Simly Dam level, CDA to ensure water supply during Ramazan - Newspaper

ISLAMABAD: Due to less rains in recent months and continuous use of water, the level in Simly Dam has decreased significantly. But the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Sunday announced it will ensure smooth water supply to residents in Ramazan, requesting people not to waste water care. The CDA said that there was no need to panic as civic agency had enough water in its stock up to July 15 and by that time monsoon rain would fill the dam again. The water level in the dam is currently 2271 feet against its capacity of 2315 feet. The Simly Dam is main sources of water for Islamabad, besides Khanpur Dam and tube wells.

CDA ensuring provision of clean water to residents Islamabad February 18, 2021 Islamabad : Capital Development Authority (CDA) has taken several steps to ensure provision of clean drinking water supply to the residents of the federal capital as the project of installation of water treatment plants at Sector I-8 and Sangjani is underway. The CDA has estimated Rs495 millions for repair and maintenance work of rotten water pipelines, tube wells, water tankers, installation of new pipelines and other projects. CDA officials told APP on Wednesday that the best team of the organization led by Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed was working day and night to make Islamabad the most beautiful city in the world.
