Avec Virgin Galactic, Richard Branson a réalisé son rêve qu’il a qualifié de « l’expérience d’une vie ». Le milliardaire britannique est allé dans l’Espace à bord du vaisseau VSS Unity qui a atteint une altitude d’environ 85 kilomètres.
Virgin Galactic ouvre ainsi la voie au tourisme spatial qui devrait se populariser dans les années à venir. Richard Branson est le premier à aller dans l’Espace à bord d’un aéronef d’une société qu’il a lui-même fondée.
