Meet Pumpkin! 10 month old Shepherd Mix, Hoping to Find Her Forever Home!

Feb 4, 2021 Pumpkin is a 10-month-old shepherd mix who bonds quickly to people. She is currently living in a Connecticut Humane Society volunteer foster home with another active dog and several cats. We think she’ll be a great fit for an active family with another playful dog to help her burn off her energy. Because she’s still a jumpy puppy, she’d be a better fit for a family with older children (10+). She is housebroken and is learning her basic obedience cues.  To schedule a meeting with Pumpkin, please visit CTHumane.org. Click on her picture, and then on the link to the online adoption application.

Meet Frieda & Peach! Bonded Pair of Guinea Pigs Looking For a Forever Home!

Feb 3, 2021 When you’re best buds, you always want to be together! That’s the case for Frieda and Peach, two guinea pig gal pals. They’re both 2 years old, and since they’re a bonded pair, they need a new home together. The staff veterinary team at the Connecticut Humane Society found that Peaches had a medical issue, but she’s feeling better now after receiving an x-ray and some medication. Frieda waited patiently for her friend to recover, and now they’re both ready for adoption. Just like any other pet, guinea pigs need lots of time with their humans every day, and enjoy having a wide open space for exploring, such as a penned-in area of a room.

He should be okay with kids and is still high energy because he s still very young! Author: FOX61 Staff Updated: 11:25 AM EST February 2, 2021 HARTFORD, Conn Meet Bert! He s looking for his FURever home!  Bert is a 2-year-old Maltese/poodle mix from a local animal control.  The Connecticut Humane Society says Bert doesn t appear to be housebroken and would do great with a trainer or training classes as he settles into his new home.  He should be okay with kids and is still high energy because he s still very young! The CT Humane Society says Bert has MPL in both legs which means his knee cap moves around. They say it s the lowest grade and just something to keep an eye on and is common in smaller dogs.
