A 33-year-old Norwich man was sentenced on Monday to 57 months in prison for his role in a southeastern Connecticut drug-trafficking ring.
Bryon McClellan was also ordered by U.S. District Judge Victor A. Bolden to serve three years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut.
McClellan in October pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, cocaine, and one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine while on pre-trial release.
McClellan’s matter stems from an investigation into the distribution of narcotics and illegal possession of firearms in southeastern Connecticut by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Connecticut Statewide Narcotics Taskforce East, the Connecticut Department of Correction and the New London, Waterford, City of Groton and Stonington police departments.
