The bus stop located on Connecticut Ave at Manor Rd (
stop ID# 2000190) will temporarily relocate to the far side of Manor Rd at the newly constructed ADA pad due to construction. Customers can board/exit buses at the new location for service to Aspen Hill.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. Bridgeport Police identified the victims in a double homicide early Sunday and said they do not appear to have been intended targets.
The victims are identified as Jaheim Warren, 19, of Derby, and Andrew Stephenson, 24, of Bridgeport. Police said, Both were likely shot as the result on an ongoing dispute. The surviving victims do not appear to have been intended targets. The location where the shootings occurred was formerly Mango z Sports Bar. This establishment does not have a valid license to sell alcohol or operate as a bar. The circumstances surrounding who owns the bar and why it was open are the subject of this ongoing investigation.

NEW LONDON, CT Due to the forecast for a significant snowfall beginning Wednesday afternoon and continuing into Friday morning, residents and visitors are reminded that the City of New London s Winter Parking Restrictions will be in effect.
Also, Thursday s garbage collection is cancelled. We will be on the holiday schedule, Thursday collection will be Friday and Friday will be Saturday.

AS OF THIS PRESS RELEASE IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT A DOWNTOWN PARKING BAN WILL BE PUT INTO EFFECT AT 9:30 PM WEDNESDAY. Parking will not be allowed on any streets in the downtown district or in the municipal surface parking lot. Vehicles will be towed to permit the clearing of streets and parking lots. Vehicles are invited to park in the Water Street Parking garage free of charge until Saturday, December 18th.
While offering further flexibility for students and families in need of picking up meals, these additions to the schedule will also provide families the opportunity to receive multiple days of meals at one time. Regular midday meal service at all sites will continue. Newly added late afternoon\early evening meal service sites include: Conte Community School (West Union Street) and Morningside Community School (Burbank Street) on Thursday, Dec. 17 and Monday, Dec. 21. 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Multiple days of meals will be distributed at each location, on each day – including a 1\2 gallon of milk on each pick-up day. In an effort to ensure that enough multi-day meals are prepared and available on Monday and Thursdays, families are encouraged to place their order place using the www.pittsfield.net website. A link to the meal pick-up form is located on the top the website, in the announcements section.
