CREDAI to fund oxygen plant at Lady Goschen Updated: Updated: Share Article AAA The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), Mangaluru, will, in association with other entrepreneurs associations, fund a portion of ₹84 lakh required for setting up an oxygen generation plant at the Government Lady Goschen Hospital in the city. CREDAI Mangaluru president Pushparaj Jain said that the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Mangaluru Contractors Association have given ₹15 lakh each, while the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers has given ₹8 lakh. The remaining amount will be given by CREDAI, he said. Mr. Jain and other members handed over a cheque for ₹41.86 lakh on Thursday to the district administration towards the cost of construction of the plant.

Kanara Chamber seeks support for MSME sector April 30, 2021 The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has urged the Union Finance Minister to address the problems of MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) sector following the second wave of Covid and lockdowns associated with it. In a letter to the Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, the KCCI President, Isaac Vas, said that operations are down the MSME sector, which is facing the challenge of meeting commitments such as payment of salaries and wages, rents, power dues, tax dues and bank loan servicing commitments. Requesting the Government to expedite the refunds of income tax, GST, duty drawback, he also sought the interest and penalty waiver on payment of power dues to Escoms (electricity supply companies) for MSMEs and domestic users.

MANGALURU: Even as the migrant labourers working in various construction sites and industries in Dakshina Kannada district were found rushing to their hometowns after new restrictions were imposed in the state in view of Covid-19 pandemic, the district administration has appealed them not to leave the region in panic. Deputy commissioner Dr KV Rajendra appealed to migrant labourers not to leave the district. He said a meeting of representatives from the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI), Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and contractors’ association was held on Thursday to discuss the issue.
