It is snowing as I write this on Monday morning so here’s hoping that by the time you get to read this on Saturday, it will be warm and sunny – or at the very least not iced over – and because I am having serious concentration issues (translating into critical writer’s block anxiety), I give to you a bunch of unrelated, discombobulated items of interest (at least to me), from the 1916 local papers – so there.
