July 10 and 11, 2021 in downtown New Martinsville, Vintage race boats from all over the country converged on the old Regatta Grounds near Dos Hermanos Mexican Restaurant for another year of exciting Vintage Hydroplane exhibition runs.
Spectators estimated to be near 1,000 showed up to witness some of the fast water action and get a peek at a couple locals who held their own against many of the veterans from as far away as New York, Florida, Minnesota, Michigan and New Jersey to name a few.
The weather for the most part cooperated allowing the racers to put on great demonstrations and trill the crowd as they brought back memories of yesteryear.
