Two candidates have thrown their hats in the ring to bear the People’s Party of Canada banner in Nipissing-Timiskaming in the next federal election.
Greg Galante, 55, and Xander Miller, 42, have put their names forward for the June 25 nomination meeting.

Galante is a founding member of the PPC and served as a director on the riding board during the 2019 federal election.
Now retired, Galante served for 30 years with the Toronto Fire Service, attaining the rank of captain.
Feds approve request for N.W.T. flood assistance from Canadian Rangers
The federal ministers of defence and public safety made the announcement on Twitter Saturday. In an interview Thursday, N.W.T. MP Michael McLeod said the rangers could alleviate some of the volunteers helping with the flood efforts for Fort Simpson and Jean Marie River.
