A contractor has been selected and construction on the new Catholic Central High School should begin very soon.
Tuesday evening, Board Trustees passed a motion approving Oscar Construction Company Limited to build the new school. With a bid of approximately $26.7 million, Oscar was the successful bidder of the five prequalified contractors to bid on the work.
“Oscar has a proven track record of quality construction projects for our Board and we’re confident that they will build a wonderful new school for our students, our staff and our Catholic Central community,” said Terry Lyons, Director of Education.

Burnham dominated on both sides of the ball for the Trojans, thriving as one of the nation s best linebackers, and he was also the team s quarterback. He racked up 76 tackles and made five stops behind the line on defense, and on offense he passed for 1,215 yards, rushed for 903 yards and accounted for 34 touchdowns while leading TCC to a 9-2 record.
The Traverse City Central star ranks as the nation s No. 85 overall player according to 247Sports, and Burnham is ranked as the sixth best outside linebacker in the land.

I was so happy to read how students of Catholic Central high school will finally be getting a new school.
I was a student in that building in the mid-1960’s when it was known as Harry Guppy elementary and High School of Commerce.

At that time, it was already an older school, but the only one in Windsor that offered a focus on commercial subjects such as typing, bookkeeping, etc. There was no athletic grounds to speak of, but we made do with what we had.
