According to Bouchard, nearly three dozen people from the division s psychologist and counselors, to family liaison workers, Leduc Victim Services, and the parish priest will remain accessible for the rest of the week and beyond if needed.
REGINA The Supreme Court of Canada has dismissed an application from the Good Spirit School Division for leave to appeal a case which would stop the province from funding non-Catholic students attending Catholic schools. The dismissal confirms a March 2020 decision by the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal that unanimously overturned an April 2017 ruling which sought to limit public funding for non-Catholic students choosing to attend Catholic schools in the province. “We’re very grateful for the decision, very relieved that now the case is at an end and we can get down to doing what we want to do, which is educate children,” said Tom Fortosky, executive director of the Saskatchewan Catholic School Boards Association.
COVID-19 case at Regina’s St. Kateri results in classroom closure By News Room
An individual at St. Kateri Tekakwitha School in Regina has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
The positive test has moved public health to notify close contacts. Regina Catholic School Division says all parents and students of the impacted classroom have been notified and provided information on self-isolation. The impacted classroom has been closed.
Affected students will begin remote learning after the February break for the duration of the self-isolation period. All other classrooms remain open with classes resuming Feb. 22.
Close contacts have been notified, as have the school community.
âWe want to reassure families of Ãcole St. Mary High School that the school will continue to operate for in-person classes while maintaining the safety protocols that are in place,â the Catholic School Division said in a media release on Saturday. âTo protect privacy, we are not able to share or discuss details.â
