(Sarah Webb) By Gina Christian • Posted May 5, 2021 Staff and volunteers at an archdiocesan homelessness outreach were recently hailed by Archbishop Nelson Pérez as “the very visible face of God for people who are down and out.” On April 29, the archbishop toured St. John’s Hospice (SJH), a ministry of Catholic Social Services (CSS) that provides crucial support to men experiencing homelessness in downtown Philadelphia.
