At the Jan. 27 Lions meeting, Randy Lebahn introduced guests from Jamestown Regional Medical Center: Lisa Jackson, foundation director; Katie Ryan-Anderson, marketing manager; and Mike Delfs, president and CEO.
Jackson thanked the club for contributing to the JRMC Cancer Center which is exceeding expectations. For the past year, it has averaged 180 infusions per month. Giving Hearts Day is Feb. 11 and Jackson invited the Lions Club and members to participate. Information can be found at GivingHeartsDay.org.
Delfs has been in the health care field for 30 years and has been president and CEO or the past two years. Delfs said JRMC’s goal is to be one of the best rural hospitals in the country. Wilhelm Chevrolet Buick GMC has announced the planned retirement of one employee and the hire of several new employees.
Robbin Manley plans to retire in June. Manley has been employed with the company for 35 years, joining Don Wilhelm Inc. in 1983 out of college. She and her husband, Steve, have three children.
Kathy Boe has joined Wilhelm Chevrolet Buick GMC in the position of comptroller position after 23 years in accounting for Central Sales Inc.
Jim Morris recently joined the finance and lease team on a part-time basis. He has over 40 years of experience working in the finance and lease auto business. Morris, a lifetime Jamestown resident, and his wife, Rita, live in Jamestown.

John Suthers has plenty of economic development wins as mayor a massive Amazon distribution center and Southwest Airlines expanding to Colorado Springs to name two but he called the loss of the U.S. Space Command to Huntsville, Ala., his biggest setback. We haven t had a whole lot of economic development bad news, but this would be my greatest (economic development) disappointment Suthers said during a news conference Wednesday on the headquarters decision.
Suthers was highly critical of the decision, calling it a political favor to Alabama s two U.S. senators, who championed President Donald Trump s efforts to object to electoral votes for Joe Biden by Arizona and Pennsylvania, and Republican U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks, who represents the Huntsville area.
Patty Bonvallet, director of innovation for defense contractor Boecore, talks recently about the Battle Space Operational Readiness Game (BORG) at the company’s Colorado Springs offices.
