The Charlie Appleby-trained Hurricane Lane ($2.70) now holds joint-favouritism for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, after he claimed a Group One for three-year-olds by six lengths in Paris overnight.
The Frankel colt dominated the Grand Prix de Paris (2400m), with the Aidan O’Brien-trained Wordsworth ($18) left with the task of chasing him home in the final stages at Longchamp.
The performance came less than three weeks on from his narrow Irish Derby (2400m) win over Lone Eagle at the Curragh, taking his career record to five wins from six starts and two G1 successes.
