Highway 154 was shut down at Cathedral Oaks Road/Highway 192 as well as west of the slide.
The roadway was reopened at about 10:50 p.m., the CHP said.
Caltrans closed one lane of the highway near San Antonio Creek Road on Wednesday morning while crews cleaned up the mudslide, spokesman Jim Shivers said. The closure was expected to last until noon.

The work consists of injecting material treatment beneath the roadway to repair the dip and bring the roadway elevations back to level grade.
The project does not include roadway asphalt surface repairs at this time. The surface repairs will be included in a future paving project after confirmation that roadway settling has been resolved.
The city of Goleta awarded the project to Uretek USA Inc. MNS Engineers, Inc. will be providing construction oversight for the city. City staff will be working with the contractor to minimize impacts to the public, however traffic control and flaggers will be needed during construction to complete the work.
