MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Representatives of the Turkish Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NDK) led by the head of the agency Zafer Demircan is in Belarus on a visit on 24-28 May, the press service of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry told BelTA.
It is the first bilateral event that has been organized to implement the memorandum of understanding between the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry (Gosatomnadzor) and the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of Turkey on cooperation and information exchange in the area of nuclear safety and radiation protection. While in Belarus members of the Turkish delegation are expected to meet with executives and specialists of the Emergencies Ministry and Gosatomnadzor. MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – Personnel training for the nuclear industry will be discussed during the youth forum ProAtom in Minsk on 20 May, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.
Students of the leading higher education establishments, students of Minsk schools and the Minsk State Energy College will take part in the forum. Conditions and the procedure for selecting and training personnel for the nuclear industry, approaches to career enhancement of young specialists will be discussed during the plenary session. Interaction of universities with the Belarusian nuclear power plant in matters concerning the employment of graduates will be discussed. Nuclear fuel ready for insertion into second unit of Belarusian nuclear power plant
MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – Nuclear fuel is ready for initial insertion into the reactor of the second unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, BelTA learned from the press service of the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom.
According to the source, the Belarusian nuclear power plant has successfully finished the delivery and incoming inspection of nuclear fuel (fuel rod arrays and neutron-absorbing rods of the control and protection system) for initial insertion into the reactor of the second unit. The fresh fuel was delivered as part of the general contract on building the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
