Kannur (Kerala) [India], April 9 (ANI): Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee s Kannur district president Satheesan Pacheni has sent a petition to Chief Electoral Officer Teeka Ram Meena demanding action against Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan alleging he has violated the Model code of conduct.
In his letter, Satheesan Pacheni alleged, While speaking to media after casting his vote in Dharmadam, Pinarayi Vijayan said, Lord Ayyappa, all Gods of this land, all worshipful Gods of all believers are all with this Government and this is a violation of part 1 (General Conduct) clause 3 of Model code of conduct.

According to police, after the funeral procession of 22-year-old Youth League worker, Mansur, who was killed in the clash, violence broke out and many CPI(M) offices were attacked.
CPI(M) offices in Peringathur were set on fire. Apart from this, the Panoor Town Branch Committee Office and the Achimukku Branch Committee Office were also destroyed by fire yesterday night.
Police said that six party offices belonging to CPI(M) were vandalised in Chockli and Kolavellur regions and that the situation is now under control.

Kannur (Kerala) [India], April 7 (ANI): A 21-year-old polling booth agent of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) was killed in Panur, Kannur district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Mansoor, he was an IUML worker. His brother Muhasin is also admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.
The incident took place during the polls held for the Kerala Legislative Assembly.
According to the police, they have taken a person into custody in connection with the incident, who is suspected to be a Left Democratic Front (LDF) worker.
