Dyer seeks dismissal of the case with prejudice because he argues Continental Resources acted outside the law when its security director toured a for-sale building he owned on April 19, taking photographs of maps and records inside a tenant s offices.
Dyer believes Continental posed as a fictional party interested in buying the property based upon a tip that Continental-owned information was inside the building.
On Tuesday, Oklahoma County District Court Judge Anthony L. Bonner Jr. said he would give both parties time to conduct discovery in the case.
Discovery on Dyer had not yet occurred, because Dyer was protected from Continental s discovery activities through a stay issued by another Oklahoma County District Court judge.
