People have viewed his videos more than 13 billion times. And last year as the pandemic raged, he became the most-subscribed YouTube creator in the country. But unlike other YouTubers who have been satisfied with social media success, Mr. Donaldson wants more. “I really want to be Elon one day,” he wrote last year on Twitter, referring to Elon Musk, the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX and one of the world’s richest people. Mr. Donaldson later listed Mr. Musk as his “dream collaborator.”

Verizon Sells AOL and Yahoo to Apollo for $5 Billion

The sale also includes Verizon’s advertising technology business. Verizon will retain a 10 percent stake in the overall business, it said in a statement. “This next evolution of Yahoo will be the most thrilling yet,” Guru Gowrappan, Verizon Media’s chief executive, said in a memo to employees Monday, which was obtained by The New York Times.

As Google starts to bring employees back to offices in some regions, it plans to experiment with ways to give them more elbow room and blend elements of virtual work with in-person collaboration. The goal, as my colleague Dai Wakabayashi described in an article on Google’s vision of the new office, is to reimagine a happier and more productive workplace. Dai spoke to me about what Google learned from the last year of employees working mostly away from offices, and whether a company with limitless resources will be a model of the future workplace.
