A self-proclaimed Buffalo booster, attorney Ross Cellino has confirmed that he purchased the Knox Mansion from Computer Task Group Inc. The Dec. 15 confirmation solves a local real estate mystery about a group that listed a Centennial, Colorado, address as the buyer for the mansion at 800 Delaware Ave. The group, Knox Mansion Condos LLC, paid $2.5 million for the property buying it June 2 from CTG of Buffalo Inc., according to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk s office.

Ross Cellino bought Knox Mansion for new firm s offices

The mystery is finally solved. An unknown investment group had purchased the prominent Knox Mansion on Delaware Avenue on June 2, paying $2.475 million for the century-old historic landmark with a glamorous history. But the investor behind Knox Mansion Condos never came forward, and the plans were never disclosed. Until now. It s Ross Cellino. The well-known Buffalo personal injury lawyer announced Tuesday that he bought the 48,000-square-foot mansion at 800 Delaware from Computer Task Group, which had owned and occupied the building since 1978. He plans to make it the new corporate headquarters for Cellino Law, the firm he formed after the breakup of Cellino & Barnes.
