LONDON (TIP): A 13-year-old Indian-origin schoolgirl has become the youngest to be selected for the UK team which will compete at the prestigious European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad to be hosted by the eastern European country of Georgia next month.
Aanya Goyal, a student of Alleyn’s School in Dulwich, South London, used the extended period of lockdown last year to throw herself further into her passion for mathematical problem solving.
Saket believes in maintaining consistency in his academic career. Not only a perfect 100 percentile in JEE main 2021, but he also has many other achievements. Saket scored 94 % in his class 10. His various other achievements include 1st rank in Class 5 to 8 Aryabhatt Mathematics Olympiad, 1st rank in NSEA level in class 11 and RMO qualification.
Talking about his family, he said his father, Sanjay Kumar Jha, is a Principal in one of the schools at Bokaro and Mother Sunita Jha is a homemaker. The family s tremendous amount of support helped him focus well on the JEE Main 2021 examination.
Saket is a student at Allen Classes, Kota, since class 9. Two of his sisters have also studied from Allen classes, Kota. One of his sisters is doing her MBBS from RIMS, Ranchi. His younger sister is doing B.Tech in Civil Engineering from BIT, Sindri. Saket s elder sister is working as an Assistant Manager in Coal India.
