An eye-catching image reveals for the first time what a new super hospital in Canterbury could look like.
Plans are on the table to build the state-of-the-art facility on farmland next to the rundown Kent & Canterbury site as part of a bold vision to revolutionise healthcare in east Kent.

It is one of two options on the table, but with the pandemic stalling the drawn-out selection process, health campaigners are stepping up their calls for NHS chiefs to back the super hospital bid.
Painters Ash residents plea to Gravesham council over plans for bungalows on open space

Campaigners have made a last ditch plea to a council to halt work, after construction of seven homes on open space got under way.

But the leader of Gravesham council says the seven affordable, one-bedroom bungalows - which will go to elderly people or those with disabilities - are needed, especially as there are more than 2,500 people on the borough s housing waiting list.
Urban sports park F51 in Folkestone due to open this summer

It will include suspended concrete skating bowls on the first floor, plus plywood ramps and street-scene skating, which will also be suitable for BMX usage, on the second and third levels.
A climbing wall will scale the rear side of the building and a boxing arena will be found on the ground floor.
A cafe and changing rooms will also feature in the building.
The long-awaited development is being funded and developed by the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust as part of regeneration plans for Folkestone.
