Sweet Home Alabama, sings U.S. Space Command
The U.S. Space Command is set to make its new home at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, a centre for developing and testing U.S. Army missile programs.
Space Command – a unified combatant command of the United States Department of Defense – is held responsible for U.S. military operations in space. Created in 1985, it’s currently based at the Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The Secretary of the Air Force – Barbara McConnell Barrett – selected the US Army post in Alabama, which was created in 1941 during World War II.
Ebonyi police command gets new Commissioner

The new Commissioner of Police deployed to Ebonyi State Police Command, CP Aliyu Garba, on Monday resumed at the Command Headquarters in Abakaliki.
The former CP Philip Sule Maku who was redeployed to Force Headquarters, Abuja, hails from Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State.
The new Commissioner of Police holds a Master of Art in International law and Diplomacy from the University of Science and Technology, Port-Harcourt River State.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Odah Loveth Obianuju, CP Garba is the 24th Commissioner of Police posted to the State since its creation in 1996.

The police in Zamfara State have rescued eight kidnapped victims at Gidan Barga and Dangajeru villages in Tsafe and Talata Mafara local government areas of the state, while also arresting 22 suspected criminals.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Abutu Yaro, disclosed this during a press conference at the Command Headquarters in Gusau on Saturday.
Yaro explained that the 22 suspects were arrested for various crimes bordering on banditry, murder and car theft committed at different parts of the state.
He also said the efforts of police operatives resulted in the recovery of some weapons from suspected bandits.
