Pubs in Chester: Venues and a brewery near Chester awarded | Chester and District Standard

A NUMBER of pubs and a brewery on the outskirts of Chester have been named as community heroes during lockdown. Eddisbury MP, Edward Timpson CBE, has announced the names of the pubs and breweries that have achieved his Covid Community Hero Award following the reopening of hospitality venues this month. The award has national backing from the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group who support the responsible enjoyment of beer and the role of pubs in the UK. Hostelries and breweries in the Eddisbury constituency were recognised for their work through lockdowns over the past year in serving their communities in innovative and unique ways.

The Clifton Arms Recognised for its community support during lockdown, the team at the Clifton Arms, on Grimshaw Park, stayed connected to their community by sending out boxes of essential groceries to vulnerable locals and provided hot meals and clothing for the homeless.
