BELLEVILLE A couple is alleging they suffered severe food poisoning after eating premade fried chicken from Eddies Travel Center Deli in Mascoutah.   Tishia Duncan and Johnny Duncan filed a complaint  April 5 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against SDS Stores Inc., doing business as Eddies Travel Center Deli, John and Jane Does 1-10 and Corporation(s) ABC alleging strict liability, negligence and breach of implied warranty.  The Duncans allege in their complaint that they became ill with food poisoning after eating pieces the chicken they purchased on April 7, 2019, from Eddies Travel Center Deli located on Perrin Road in Mascoutah.  The plaintiffs claim that in the early morning hours of April 8, 2019, they suffered nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and fever and were treated for gastroenteritis at Memorial Hospital.
