As the secretary of a PDP faction in Kaduna state, what are the issues that led to the crack in the party?
There are several issues, but there are three most important ones. One is in respect of the list of ward executives of the party. The Kaduna State Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Hafsat Baba, on Tuesday, hinted that the State Government had repatriated and reunited over 30,000 Almajarai children with their parents following the outbreak of COVID-19 as at December 2020.
This was coming as United Nations women through Gender Awareness Trust (GAT) floated coalition of women leaders in government, business and civil society for possible collaboration in response to the second wave of COVID-19 in Kaduna State.
Hafsat, who chaired the inaugural meeting of the Coalition in Kaduna, on Tuesday, noted that “if all the sectors (government, business and civil society) that are here will collaborate with good coordination, it will go a long way in supporting government’s efforts in addressing issues around the second wave of the COVID-19.

Sani, a onetime senior special assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo, is said to be eyeing the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna’s seat of power come 2023. Many say Zailani, who became the speaker of the state Assembly on February 25, 2020, is not only being pushed by the powers-that-be in Kaduna to stop him, but observers say he is also eyeing the Senate seat for Kaduna Central come 2023.
