Foreign nationals may soon be able to obtain a one-year temporary residency in Jamaica, through the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA). Speaking on Friday at the opening ceremony for a new PICA office at the Fairview Plaza, Montego Bay, St. James, Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang, noted that an increase in travel to the island will be expected post COVID-19, and while people try to decipher where to live in a pivoting world, PICA will be putting plans in place, to provide an opportunity for foreigners to be able to live, and work in Jamaica for one year.
