Alchimie acquires TV4 US assets

French content-aggregation company Alchimie has acquired assets from US OTT channels operator TV4 Entertainment. Nicolas d’Hueppe The deal gives Alchimie a portfolio of nine thematic SVoD channels, including motoring-focusing Motorland, DocCom TV (documentaries), Nautical Mile (boating) and Inside Outside (home and garden). These channels comprise thousands of hours of streaming content and include a base of nearly 15,000 subscribers, representing sales of nearly US$1m. TV4 Entertainment’s assets also include co-publishing agreements with All3Media and Flame, which have already produced themed OTT channels in the factual entertainment space. Nicolas d’Hueppe, founder and CEO of Alchimie, said: “We plan to rapidly leverage the in-depth connections of TV4Entertainment’s partnerships in the US streaming ecosystem, in particular its tier-one agreements in both co-publishing and distribution.

| 11 March 2021 Content aggregation and distribution company Alchimie has acquired the US publishing assets of streaming provider TV4Entertainment for an undisclosed amount. Through the deal, Alchimie is acquiring a portfolio of thematic SVOD channels, including Motorland (Motors), DocCom TV (documentary), Nautical Mile (boating), Gone TV (hunting/fishing), Inside Outside (home and garden), comprising thousands of hours of streaming content. The assets include an existing base of nearly 15,000 subscribers representing sales of nearly $1 million. TV4Entertainment’s publishing assets have co-publishing agreements with media groups All3Media and Flame, which have already produced themed OTT channels in the factual entertainment space. These assets include content across various categories and tier-one distribution partnerships with Amazon channels and Roku.
