Work will start this month and end in November, Offshore Engineer reported, adding that the client will have an option to extend the contract for up to seven more wells.
The drillship that is involved, West Capella, was built in 2008 and is a sixth generation ultra-deepwater drillship, the report said.
Its previous deal with Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) is expiring sometime this month, according to Seadrill’s fleet status report for 4Q20.
The West Capella’s deal with Petronas was previously set to end in March 2021 but was consequently extended to May 2021.
Petronas also has a deal with one of the company’s tender rigs, the West Vencedor.

New Names, New Wines from Napa
As some readers know, I’ve only recently been able to dedicate more time to writing here on Vinography after a number of years being an entrepreneur and small business owner trying to squeeze in some wine writing around the edges. By virtue of that struggle for time, I have not exactly kept up with new developments in California wine at the level to which I aspite. There was a time that thanks to an endless parade of large public tastings, I was almost sure to hear about new wine projects soon after they popped up.

On March 23 this year, a 200-tonne cargo carrier caught the attention of all and sundry amid a pandemic grappling the entire globe. ‘Ever Given’ was stuck in one of the world s most important trade routes Suez Canal, blocking the transit of other vessels and affecting global trade as a consequence. For the next seven days, efforts were underway to dislodge the massive vessel that was causing trade losses in billions of dollars.
Ever Given is a golden class container vessel which is the 13th largest class of container ships in the world today. She is capable of carrying 20124 TEU’s which are 20 foot by 8.5-foot containers when loaded to full capacity.
