MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The Hyundai Air & Sea Show is back in South Florida for Memorial Day weekend.
The event pays tribute to those in our armed forces who have paid the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our freedom.
The Army’s Golden Nights and British Red Devils take flight beginning Saturday, and Local 10′s Alexis Frazier got to have the experience of a lifetime during a sneak peek of the event.
“It happened very fast, but I survived,” Frazier said after skydiving with members of the teams.
The Memorial Day weekend has already begun on South Beach. For some, it means the return of the Hyundai Air and Sea Show starting Friday. For others, it means partying with friends.

Saturday and Sunday May 29th and 30th - The Hyundai Air & Sea Show features the men, women, technology, and equipment from all five branches of the United States Military along with police, firefighters, and their first responder agencies. This two-day event features offshore powerboat demonstrations, extreme water sports, action zone, military display village, and more.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone back this year to enjoy one of the country’s largest military air and sea shows,” said Miami Beach City Manager Alina T. Hudak. “This is a terrific way to remember and honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for this great nation and those first responders who have stood shoulder to shoulder with our community throughout the pandemic.
All focus, admittedly, is on the party that police and city officials have had struggles with controlling in previous years.
“You also need to know that this weekend will also be challenging,” Gelber said in the message. “We have to assume that even more people will be coming this Memorial Day weekend, especially in the evening, and regrettably too many will be coming to act out.”
