The Brick woman who murdered her wife with a wine chiller in 2020 then fled to the southwest United States before being extradited to New Jersey has been indicted by a Grand Jury in Ocean County, announced Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer on Wednesday.

Mayra Gavilanez-Alectus, 49, of Brick Township, was indicted on the charges of Murder, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon in the death of Rebecca Gavilanez-Alectus.
