The Ocean County Health Department is recommending you do make an appointment though to make sure you can get in timely and not have to wait, but if you want to walk-in for a Covid test, you can now certainly do so that way.
There s no new or additional hours at OCC, it s the same 9 am to 3 pm timeframe on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, all located on the western part of the Gateway Building on the OCC campus.
You ll walk in, show your health insurance information and be directed down the hallway while being socially distant until you re called into a final room to be given one of two options of a Covid test, the saliva test (PCR), which you could get if you haven t eaten anything in the 20 minutes prior to your arrival, or the nasal swab test.

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ Ocean County s coronavirus case rate has increased over the last week, reflecting an increase in the infection rate statewide, as it has for the last few weeks
(see town-by-town totals below).
Ocean County recorded 60,217 cases of the coronavirus through Friday, according to the Ocean County Health Department. That is an increase of 2,313 cases, or 3.99 percent, from March 26, when 57,904 cases were reported.
Variants of the virus that spread more quickly have played some part in the increase in cases; Gov. Phil Murphy has said they could contribute to delays in further reopenings.
