July 1, 2021, the U.S. Department of the Interior (USDOI) announced that it will initiate an environmental review of Dominion Energy’s Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind commercial project.
During a tour of the Port of Virginia in Norfolk, USDOI Secretary Deb Haaland, along with Gov. Ralph Northam and U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.), announced that the USDOIâs Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) will initiate this environmental review.Â
