With the COVID-19 pandemic looming over the entire globe, it wasn t certain if Indian River High School would be able to hold its annual graduation ceremonies, so we here at the Coastal Point thought it would be a good idea to celebrate our graduates with a congratulatory book, celebrating their senior yearend, their hard work and accomplishments.

Surrounded by fresh air, warm sun and a cool ocean nearby, it seems that lifeguards may have the right idea for their morning workouts. And, having retired after 29 years as a patrol captain throughout Fenwick Island and Bethany Beach, Tim Ferry is starting a business based on his lifetime of experience with those intense beachfront exercises.
Coastal Lifesaving is for anyone who either wants to exercise like a lifeguard, or train to actually become a lifeguard.
Ferry will do three types of training, starting with the general, hour-long morning fitness class. To watch from the boardwalk, the guardsâ daily training looks effective and pretty fun. Now, laypeople can have that experience.

Concerns about the Greater Millsboro Art League closing, or having to relocate, were put to rest this week when a motion, framed to assist the financially struggling non-profit and keep it open, was passed by the Millsboro Town Council.
After hearing several comments from those in favor of the Town continuing to lease the art league building, at 203 Main Street, and allow the non-profit a little more time to catch up on unpaid rent, Councilman Tim Hodges encouraged proponents gathered at Town Hall to do their part to support the art league even after the meeting ended.
