HAMPTON – A Hampton man is facing domestic violence charges stemming from a dispute in which police allege he threatened to shoot the victim with a firearm.
Sean Meola, 49, was arrested Sunday on two counts of domestic violence. He was arrested on a warrant at his home with the assistance of the Seacoast Emergency Response Team.
Hampton police Lt. Alex Reno said the alleged domestic violence incidents occurred between Jan. 15 and 16.
The investigation started after Meola flagged down a police cruiser on Saturday in front of a building in Hampton.
Police said officers learned that there was a dispute that had just occurred between Meola and a female in his apartment.
