Bedbugs aboard a Navy sub is making life uncomfortable, crew says
Never mind “Snakes on a Plane” the U.S. Navy has bugs in a sub.
The Navy Times reports that sailors about the USS Connecticut attack submarine have complained of a bedbug infestation for the past years in the metal tube they call home. The military site reports seamen have pressed the issue with Navy brass repeatedly, but the bugs keep biting. The entire crew is reportedly onboard the sub this week as training exercises commence.
Some sailors were said to have taken to sleeping in chairs or on floors to avoid the critters at sea. Others reportedly slept in accommodations outside the sub, which is now moored at a Washington state base.
