Experts are urging all backcountry users to get or upgrade their avalanche skills training after a string of recent fatalities and close calls in B.C. s Coast Mountains.

2 men killed in avalanche while snowbiking in BC
Two men have been found dead after being caught in an avalanche in Pemberton.
They had been snowbiking in the area, according to the RCMP.
Police were notified that the duo was missing around Goat Creek on Dec. 28 at about 5:20 pm.
Mounties learned from backcountry guides that there were indications of a recent avalanche.
Its debris had covered an area 100 metres wide and 200 metres long.
