Hundreds of athletes from around New Zealand were at a national beach volleyball festival in Ruakākā last week, when the country s latest Covid case visited the beachside town in Northland.
About 300 players participated in the Ruakākā Beach Bash, a week-long series of beach volleyball championships that took place from January 19 to 24.

The conditions were perfect as the Ruakākā Beach Bash got under way this week as part of the New Zealand Beach Volleyball Tour.
Over 60 teams have been competing in under-17 and under-19 divisions since Tuesday, including five teams from Northland. The teams will finish competition today before the national university championships, the masters championships, a social competition and other age-group competitions are held tomorrow.
Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford are tying the knot.

Dynamite on February 3, 2021. The couple celebrated after the big news with Sabian’s best man, Miro, as their music hit.
The announcement came after a teased interruption by the Best Friends, which turned out to be a fake-out orchestrated by Sabian and Miro. Footage was then shown of Trent getting loaded into an ambulance, presumably from an attack by Sabian and Miro.
Sabian and Ford have been teasing their on-screen wedding ceremony for months, since before Miro debuted with the promotion as Sabian’s best man.
