Two weeks after announcing the AEW Women s World Championship Eliminator Tournament to determine the #1 contender, we finally have a full list of entrants, along with confirmation the tournament will have a US side and a Japan side. There s still a lot we don t know (When will the tournament start? Where will it be broadcast? Is this title shot for Revolution or sometime afterwards?) but at the very least, we can look at who all is in the tournament, check out their past and present, and see if an AEW Women s World Championship shot is in their future.
Darby Allin will look for the second defense of his TNT Championship on next week s AEW Dynamite as he defends against Joey Janela.
Part of the storyline of the match was set up during Beach Break as Team Taz threatened to interject while Sting promised to be there to ensure the match remains one-on-one.
Janela hasn t won a singles match in AEW since November 11th and has been mainly involved in tag team matches since then.
Only two other matches were announced for next week:
Chris Jericho & MJF vs. The Acclaimed: This was set up before Wednesday s tag team battle royal when Max Caster walked out and began his rap as The Inner Circle were still on the stage waiting to enter the ring area. Caster later eliminated MJF from the battle royal, but Jericho ended up picking up the win and Tag Team title shot for his team.

The babyfaces were on fire early with aggression until Omega held PAC’s foot on the turnbuckles for Gallows to land a high kick and then press him into the air.
