The NH Food Alliance, a statewide network supported by the UNH Sustainability Institute and dedicated to growing a thriving, fair, and sustainable local food system in the Granite State, has partnered with several local and statewide organizations to host Meet New Hampshire Makers, a virtual tasting event part of the 2021 NH Food System Statewide Gathering, on March 11 from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. In support of local small businesses, food producers, and artisans from across New Hampshire, the virtual event will highlight short presentations from three featured makers: Wood Stove Kitchen, Winnipesaukee Woods Farm, and Wayfarer Coffee Roasters, followed by a Q&A session. From now until March 3, attendees will have the opportunity to select from a variety of Meet New Hampshire Makers tasting boxes created by the featured makers and available for purchase through the Belknap Foodshed. Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is now accepting applications for its Annual MoneyStrong College Scholarship and the Cooperative Credit Union Association’s 2021 Credit Union College Scholarship Program, with eligible applicants including members from Chelmsford.
The Credit Union’s MoneyStrong College Scholarship will award $10,000 in scholarships to applicants currently enrolled in college, as well as incoming freshmen for the fall 2021 semester. Student applicants or their parents/guardians must be Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union members to be eligible. Current college students can apply to receive $1,000 and high school seniors could receive $500.

Robert Cashman named treasure of NCUF

Metro Credit Union announced that Robert Cashman, CEO and president, was named board treasurer of the National Credit Union Foundation.
In this role, he is responsible for general financial oversight of the foundation s accounts as well as funding, fundraising and other various membership duties.
NCUF, which is closely aligned with the Credit Union National Association, is widely known as the charitable arm of the U.S. credit union movement. Its vision is to make financial freedom achievable through credit unions. In the last 15 years, NCUF awarded more than $36 million worth of grants to help credit unions better serve their members.
