A 32-year-old from Victoriaville, Quebec spent the long weekend in jail after being arrested by Leeds County OPP in connection with a break-in last week.
Provincial police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle on Twin Oaks Lane, in Leeds and the Thousand Islands, on Thursday morning, OPP reported Tuesday.

Witnesses also advised that someone had been observed breaking into a nearby cottage.
Officers located the vehicle and conducted a search of the area that resulted in the accused being located and arrested, police added. He was found to be in possession of suspected meth.

NORTH DUNDAS A 33-year-old man from Ottawa is facing four charges after SDG OPP responded to a family dispute reported on Saturday afternoon.
Police alleged the man entered a home unlawfully, then assaulted and threatened two family members, before leaving the area. Officers located the man shortly thereafter and took him into custody.

The man, whose identity was not released, was charged with assault; assault with a weapon; uttering threats – cause bodily harm; and, unlawfully in a dwelling house.
