I always had a love of music. I got drums when I was a kid, then the guitar. I tried every instrument under the sun. RTE have shared a powerful teaser of their New Year s Eve countdown show of Irish people sending messages home to their families.
Many have not been able to see their loved ones this year due to the coronavirus.

Many Irish abroad sent home messages to their families
Tolü Makay will be joined by the RTE concert Orchestra in an absolutely stunning rendition of the Saw Doctors N17.
The number will have messages of Irish people missing home shown on screen.
RTE have also teased a massive line up for tonight s countdown show.
Presenters Kathryn Thomas and Deirdre O’ Kane will front a celebration of homegrown talent from Dublin s famed Gaiety Theatre this New Year s Eve, as they re joined by some of Ireland’s most talented musicians and comedians to bid farewell to an unforgettable year and ring in a more hopeful 2021.
