Ah, we were so young then. We excoriated the Obama administration for attacking and prosecuting whistleblowers at a faster clip than
any other administration in history.
This happened despite the fact Obama presided over some of the most historic leaks in history ones that kickstarted changes in surveillance programs and surveillance attitudes. The Obama Administration claimed to be the most transparent ever, but behind the scenes, it worked tirelessly to punish whistleblowers and leakers who were bringing
actual transparency to entities that had long resisted it.
The facts about the late, not-so-great Trump Administration are continuing to leak out. And Obama s enthusiasm for punishing professional and amateur transparency enthusiasts has been outdone by his successor a man who often engaged in leaking himself through his Twitter account. eBuyNow secured a licensing deal with Motorola in 2019 to produce smartwatches
A leaked slide from eBuyNow s recent earnings report showed the e-commerce company s complete product list for this year. Among the collection of air purifiers, IP cameras and smart lighting systems were three smartwatches under Motorola s Moto label.
The leaked image shows the case back of one model with its specifications engraved on the outer ring. Normally, this is the section wherein manufacturers print regulatory information about the device. But the text was unclear due to the angle and lighting obscuring the reflective surface. Only the Motorola emblem and the Moto badge were visible.

Decisions covering more than that amount in Britain’s public finances over the next five years were reported anonymously in newspapers or officially announced before Sunak delivered his budget, Reuters analysis showed.
“It is very disappointing that one of the biggest moments in the parliamentary calendar has been undermined by the continuous leaking of significant announcements to the media over several days,” Speaker Lindsay Hoyle and his deputy, Eleanor Laing, told Reuters in a joint statement.
